Hi, my name's Kaine but you may know me better as Lost Cause. I've been a part of the furry fandom since 2008 and a fursuiter since 2017. I've always been in awe of fursuiters and cosplayers and loved the performance that they put on at cons, in videos, at meets, and in photos. There's a lot of love and labor that go into costumes and a lot of talent and work into performing as a character.
After my first few outings in suit, I quickly learned that these shag rugs are hot! You sweat, a lot. At a convention, by the second day they're still damp with sweat and start to smell funky. There's only so much that isopropyl alcohol can do. That's when I set out to find a better way to dry my suit. I started out with the head and spent an entire year developing and perfecting the head dryer until it got to the point that I wanted others to try it. After having my friends try it out at Midwest Furfest in 2022, and making some tweaks afterwards, it was ready for release.
I also believe in having the skills and tools to repair one's own fursuit. I'm a do-it-yourselfer and would much rather take care of my own items than risk someone else damaging it. I perform my own maintenance on my fursuit, from cleaning to repairing. I love to help others out in their own repairs as well, sewing can be indimitating for some!
I sincerely hope that Fursuit Dryer can help you in some way shape or form. Whether that's teaching you a new skill, or providing you with the tools to maintain your costume.
Thank you so much,
Kaine
